Gia Woodworking was founded in 2024 with the goal of becoming a reputable design and build company. It is our vision that one day we will be able to design and develop subdivisions that balance sustainability, density, livability and affordability in a way that has never been done before.
On our way to our goal we are taking on a large variety of projects to enhance our skillset and prepare for the big end goal of becoming a design and build company. Since our founder is currently enrolled in a full-time program at Algonquin College we currently do not have the capability to run a full fledged design and build company. With that being said, we find that woodworking and carpentry projects are an excellent alternative in the mean time.
Our current inventory of woodworking goods will slowly expand over the next year or so as we try new things. Feel free to contact us if you have any custom commissions you would like to get done.
We are currently booking small carpentry projects (anything short of full new builds or comprehensive renovations). We take pride in our work and do everything in our power to keep our proposed schedules. We know how difficult it can be when projects go over the allotted time frame and we hope to be a welcome change in this category.
With all of this work comes a little play (play makes the work worth it), over on our Instagram page, we have weekly reels of Gia or Mystery (Mystery being the cats name, we don’t typically have Mystery guests) and we also post periodic updates over there as well. Meet the Team
Gia
Company Mascot/ Acting CEO
Gia has been with the company since it started and many believe the company was named after her (many are correct). While she may not bring anything to the table in the woodworking, site building, social media managing, business, or sales department, she makes up for it in the sleeping department.
She also stars in many of the reels that are created around the company and she is very well known as the face of the whole operation. She has also been known to run a very tight ship and she demands perfection out of everyone she works with.
Spencer Rodgers
Founder
Spencer, like Gia has also been part of the company since it was founded. His role is basically to everything in every department that Gia has nothing to do with. He is the only one on staff with any sort of formal education, having his Red Seal in Carpentry and a Certificate in Trades Management. He is also currently enrolled at Algonquin College for Building Science and is in his first year.
Mystery
Accounting
The newest member of the team is Mystery, Best known for filling in for Gia when Gia takes random vacations. You may recognize her from such hits as “Week 5 of Cat Pet” and “Week 5 of Carpet”. If you haven’t seen those before, we highly recommend you check them out on our Instagram page.
Aside from that, she has been known for her efforts in the accounting department, all of which have been in vain due to the fact she can’t read or do math. They say it is the effort that counts, but the government strongly disagrees as they are not fans of Mystery’s bookkeeping.
